FÜR’S FEST

MUSEUM SCHLOSS FÜRSTENBERG, December 1 - 9, 2018, 10 am - 5 pm

In addition to the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle in the courtyard, "Für's Fest" offers a special highlight for this year's pre-Christmas season in the museum.

Selected furniture and accessories, handmade unique pieces and small series by renowned designers from the region, Germany and Europe reveal their individual quality and tell their very own stories in thematically staged pictures.

Here all expectations of Christmas anticipation will be fulfilled. Everyone will get his money's worth and have his pleasure, marvel at what has never been seen, admire what has been done well and find what is familiar.

The thematic stagings of handicraft objects are aimed at collectors and lovers alike, at the large budget and the slim wallet. Above all, however, they want to inspire and delight, with surprising news or the enjoyable "déja vue".

"Für's Fest" celebrates the admiration for craftsmanship, creative inventiveness and human performance as an inspiring force - just as it has been cultivated and kept available for our future at Porzellanmanufaktur Fürstenberg over the centuries.

On the first two Advent weekends, the FÜR'S FEST - MUSEUM SCHLOSS FÜRSTENBERG offers a traditional Christmas market against the backdrop of the festively lit castle. There the exhibitors and the village community offer handicrafts and culinary delicacies in wooden houses decorated for Christmas. Drechsler and Kunstschmied demonstrate how with a lot of dexterity and love for detail artistic things are created for the Christmas season and invite you to join in. A crib maker sells his nativity scenes made of local woods.

Every hour at 1 p.m. from the tower room, the festive songs of the local brass groups are heard. Admission to the castle courtyard is free.
