The MUSEUM SCHLOSS FÜRSTENBERG organises an adventure weekend with knights, fairy tales and porcelain for young and old visitors.

The historical walls of the MUSEUM SCHLOSS FÜRSTENBERG, which is located on the German Fairy Tale Route, invites you to a fun museum excursion for the whole family on September 19th/20th, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Registration is urgently required for participation in the following events. Please understand that the number of participants is limited:

PROGRAM POINTS

Saturday and Sunday

10.00 a.m. "The White Knight of Fürstenberg"
The legendary figure and our museum director Dr. Christian Lechelt welcome the guests with a short tour of the history of the castle (approx. 25 minutes)

11.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. "Puss in Boots"
play (stille hunde theaterproduktionen, Göttingen) for children from 4 years of age based on the fairy tale by the Grimm brothers (approx. 45 minutes)

12.00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. "Set the table."
Stories about porcelain and tableware - museum tour with Eva Leach (approx. 45 minutes)

2.00 and 4.00 p.m. "The fairytale of the Fürstenberg butter churn"
The Freundeskreis Fürstenberger Porzellan e.V. presents two early pieces of FÜRSTENBERG porcelain and tells how the fox got its white tail tip (approx. 45 minutes)

Erika Knauf (Heimatverein Kassel-Niederzwehren e.V.) strolls through the castle and invites you to listen to her narrative art

10.30 a.m., 1.00 and 3.30 p.m. Workshop "Fairytale porcelain painting"
Design of your own FÜRSTENBERG plate with a fairytale design; price of 5 Euro per plate (approx. 60 minutes)

10.30 a.m., 1.00 and 3.30 p.m. Workshop "Sleeping Beauty"
Getting to know the material porcelain and free modelling of rose petals with FÜRSTENBERG porcelain (approx. 60 minutes)

 

 

The Freundeskreis Fürstenberg Porzellan e.V. introduces itself.

 

Costs: There are no additional costs for participation in the programme apart from the entrance to the museum. (Porcelain painting excluded.)

The Bistro CARL provides for the well-being of the guests.
